AIISF wishes to thank the National Archives at San Francisco for providing us with an index of Chinese arrival and departure case files from 1884 to 1944 created by the S.F. District Office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service. We will also put online the index of “Case Files of Chinese American Applicants for Certificates of Citizenship, Hawaiian Islands, 1924-1942.
Work will continue in 2012 to create an online database to allow you to locate the file by surname and date of arrival. This will allow you to go to the National Archives in San Bruno, California to view the immigration file. Our goal is to have the database operational by the end of 2012.
