AIISF Responds to President Biden's Memorandum on Racism, Xenophobia, and Intolerance

(SAN FRANCISCO, CA - January 28, 2021) AIISF commends President Biden for his memorandum to combat xenophobia against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Xenophobia led to the passage of exclusionary immigration policies like the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 and the establishment of the former U.S. Immigration Station at Angel Island to enforce these policies. This memorandum is an important step towards addressing the rise of xenophobia that we have all witnessed over the past year.
