FAQs
Where is the Ferry?
If you purchased a SAN FRANCISCO ferry ticket, the Golden Gate Ferry leaves from Gate B at the Ferry Building. If you purchased a TIBURON ferry ticket, the Angel Island Ferry leaves from 21 Main Street in Tiburon. It is behind/between Sam's Anchor Cafe and Malibu Farm.
What time is the ferry?
The SAN FRANCISCO ferry will leave from Gate B of the Ferry Building at 10:15 am. Please check-in by 9:30 am. The TIBURON ferry will leave at 10 am and 11 am. Please check-in 45 minutes ahead of departure.
How do I receive my ferry tickets?
On August 3rd you will arrive to the ferry terminal that corresponds to your ticket (SF or Tiburon) and check-in with AIISF staff at a well-marked table. There you will receive a wrist-band that will be your ticket for all activities, including the ferry.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing plenty of bottled water, snacks, sturdy walking shoes, sunscreen and a hat, and a light jacket.
I bought a ticket for Tiburon, can I switch to San Francisco?
No, your ticket is dependent on the ferry location. If tickets are still available you can return your original ticket and buy a new one for the other location.
I missed the ferry, what do I do?
If you missed the 10:15 am ferry from SF, you can take the 12:15. If you missed the 10 am from Tiburon you can take the 11 am. If you miss the first two ferries, we will not be able to check you in. It is possible you may be able to buy ferry tickets and board, but it is up to the ferry operator.
